Have Ad Grants, What’s Next?

Try Meta, LinkedIn, or Microsoft.

Many nonprofits, especially those smaller ones, are operating with a rather tight budget and can’t afford to hire an external agency to support their marketing efforts. Therefore they are always on the lookout for tools that can amplify their impact while staying within this budget.

Ad grants programs, offered by major tech companies, provide nonprofits with free or heavily discounted advertising credits to reach their audiences online. While many organizations know about Google Ad Grants (that we specialize in), fewer are aware of similar opportunities from Microsoft, LinkedIn, or Facebook.

Let’s explore these platforms and how their tools can take your nonprofit’s digital strategy to the next level.

Meta

Facebook offers a range of tools and opportunities for nonprofits to engage with their audiences. While it doesn’t have a specific ad grant program like Google, it provides resources like Facebook Fundraisers and donation buttons, enabling nonprofits to collect donations directly through the platform.

Facebook also offers special ad targeting features, allowing nonprofits to reach potential supporters based on their interests, behaviors, and demographics. By running paid campaigns, nonprofits can promote events, share impactful stories, and increase their visibility in the communities they serve.

Additionally, Meta’s Nonprofit Resource Center provides guidance on using Facebook and Instagram effectively to grow an online presence and build connections with supporters.

LinkedIn for Nonprofits

LinkedIn serves as a powerful platform for nonprofits with its own unique program – LinkedIn for Nonprofits. LinkedIn for Nonprofits offers a variety of free tools and discounted services designed to support your organization’s growth and outreach. These resources help nonprofits recruit and train skilled talent, connect with prospective donors, expand their professional networks, and raise awareness for their mission to attract a broader base of supporters. Let’s break it down, shall we?

In the LinkedIn for Nonprofits navigation menu, located in the upper right corner, you’ll find a range of products designed to:

  • To help you hire
  • To develop your employees
  • To market your company
  • To fundraise effectively

Each section provides tools tailored to help you achieve your specific goals. Additionally, the platform offers discounted online products, success stories, and valuable insights and guides to further support your nonprofit’s mission.

LinkedIn Ad Grants

Did you know that Linkedin developed a program specially designed for nonprofits called Ad Grants program? This program offers nonprofits the opportunity to utilize free LinkedIn ads to expand their reach and drive impact. This initiative is tailored for organizations focusing on workforce development, environmental sustainability, and equity, enabling them to connect with key audiences on LinkedIn.

Through the program, nonprofits can raise awareness about critical issues, recruit volunteers, attract corporate partnerships, and even hire top talent. Participants also receive personalized support from a LinkedIn advertising expert, ensuring they can maximize the effectiveness of their campaigns. To stay informed about the next application round, nonprofits can join the mailing list by filling out a simple form.

Beyond ad credits, LinkedIn offers the Nonprofit Resource Hub, which a collection of guides, best practices and experts advice to help nonprofits maximize their presence on the platform. Whether you’re looking to build partnerships or highlight your impact, LinkedIn’s professional network is a powerful tool for growing your reach.

Additionally, LinkedIn for Nonprofits provides a section dedicated to upcoming events, FAQs and their blog.

Microsoft

Microsoft supports nonprofits through its Technology for Social Impact initiative. While the Ads for Social Impact Grant is currently paused for grants on Microsoft’s advertising network, Microsoft Ads offers a significant discount of up to 50% for nonprofits, enabling organizations to reach new audiences on platforms like Bing and Yahoo. Meanwhile, nonprofits can sign up to receive information and updates about future advertising grants and offers. Once available, those eligible for Ads for Social Impact will be contacted with more information as the program expands to more organizations.

In addition to ad discounts, Microsoft provides free or heavily discounted access to tools like Microsoft 365, Azure, and Teams, empowering nonprofits to enhance collaboration and streamline operations. These resources ensure nonprofits have both the technology and the visibility they need to achieve their goals. Take the eligibility pre-check!

Moving Forward

All of these programs provide nonprofits with a valuable opportunity to extend their reach while maintaining a manageable budget. By making the most of the resources at your disposal, you can strengthen your mission and make a lasting difference in your community.

If managing these campaigns feels overwhelming and you have that extra budget, you can always look out for a professional agency to handle it for you. If you haven’t yet secured Google Ad Grants, AboveX Digital can assist with the application process, help you acquire the grant, and expertly manage your campaigns to ensure your success.

Additionally, we offer a range of other services that can further support your nonprofit’s growth, so be sure to explore all the ways we can help you succeed. We’re always ready to help!
