A very exciting e-mail landed in our inbox recently, announcing that we have successfully retained our Google Premier Partner status once again this year. It’s truly an honor to be among the top 3% of participating companies within United States.
What It Takes to Become a Google Premier Partner
There are certain requirements to be followed before being appointed to such a prestigious title. These include Performance, Spend & Certifications and are checked by Google on a daily basis.
- Performance – to meet the performance requirement, our Google Partners Ads manager account must maintain a minimum 70% optimization score, allowing us to apply or dismiss recommendations based on client goals.
- Spend – Our Google Partners Ads manager account must sustain a total ad spend of $10,000 USD over a 90-day period across managed accounts.
- Certification – At least 50% of our account strategists (up to 100 users) must be Google Ads certified, with at least one certification in each product area where campaign spend exceeds $500 in 90 days.
What Does Google Evaluate?
To earn this elite status, companies must first meet the standard Google Partner requirements and then outperform their peers across key performance metrics.
Here’s what Google evaluates when selecting Premier Partners:
- Existing Client Growth – Agencies must demonstrate their ability to scale client accounts, showing consistent year-over-year ad spend growth.
- New Client Acquisition – Acquiring new clients and increasing first-time ad spend is a key factor in being recognized as a top performer.
- Client Retention – Premier Partners must maintain long-term relationships with their clients, proving their ability to sustain ad spend over time.
- Product Diversification – A well-rounded strategy that extends beyond Search campaigns, including YouTube, Display, Shopping, and Apps, shows adaptability and expertise.
- Annual Ad Spend – Agencies must manage significant ad investments across their client portfolio, showcasing their influence and commitment to Google Ads.
Each year, Google reviews agencies’ performance relative to their competitors, making Premier Partner status an exclusive and highly competitive recognition.
Google Premier Partner Benefits
